Edition Residences Miami Beach was gutted and rebuilt (Originally the Seville Hotel) in 2014 as a luxury oceanfront hotel and condo building by the developer and hotelier Ian Schrager and designed by British architect John Pawson having 24 privately-owned condo residences including a collection of unique triplex penthouses with private rooftop swimming pools, private entry foyers, floor-to-ceiling glass, Bulthaup designer kitchens (designed by John Pawson), Spa-like bathrooms, bleached teak wood flooring throughout, and spacious terraces with spectacular direct Atlantic Ocean and Miami skyline views. Residences range from 1 to 4-bedroom floor plans with interiors from 909 to 5,011 square feet.

Ian Schrager, known for opening the iconic Studio 54 nightclub with the late Steve Rubell in 1977, also founded the Morgans Hotel Group in the early 1980s. His ventures in Miami Beach include the Delano and Shore Club hotels, both of which are currently undergoing redevelopment under new ownership. In 2015, Marriott International sold the hotel segment of the Edition Miami Beach to the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority for $230 million, translating to over $782,000 per room. Schrager's continued impact on Miami Beach's luxury hospitality scene is undeniable, and his legacy lives on in the Edition Miami Beach and other renowned properties.

The Schragers had initially purchased the penthouse for $5.5 million in 2016, just two years after the project was completed.
